Ingersoll Rand
, a global leader in automotive and industrial tools and equipment, has launched a new line of standard ratchets with the release of the 1207MAX-D3 3/8" ratchet and 1207MAX-D4 1/2" ratchet.

The 1207MAX Series ratchets continue the MAX tradition of offering air tools that provide professional technicians with best-in-class performance coupled with innovative features to deliver maximum power, control and comfort. The 1207MAX features patent-pending technology, including the industry’s first collar design for forward/reverse control. Technicians can adjust the direction by simply rotating the collar between the head and the grip. This design prevents the tool from getting stuck when traditional ratchet forward/reverse controls on the back of the heads are not accessible in confined spaces.

“As with our entire MAX line, the real-world needs of technicians have driven the design of this powerful ratchet,” said Justin Dubow, global portfolio manager for garage tools at Ingersoll Rand. “These ratchets deliver everything professional technicians need to stay productive in the garage, even on the most demanding applications.”

The 1207MAX delivers a best-in-class 65 ft-lb of torque and 200 rpm for an optimal torque-to-speed ratio. In addition to the unique collar design, the tool also provides 360° exhaust with an integrated muffler and swivel air inlet, which combine to enable comfortable work from any angle.

These features, coupled with an easily accessible variable power regulator and a feather-touch trigger, create excellent control. The slimmer composite handle provides an improved grip and insulates against cold air flowing through the tool. An ergonomic coupling nut also improves operator comfort.

The ratchet’s heat-treated housing delivers impressive strength and reduces the risk of bending and head spreading. The housing is also nickel-plated which provides enhanced corrosion resistance. In addition, the ratchet head features an improved design which reduces slippage and increases durability.
